Hugo van de Haar

Working together

I help space and deep-tech teams develop their positioning and commercial materials. For investors and boards, I assess a company’s commercial evidence.

Positioning Sprint

Develop the positioning and write the copy.

We agree your priority buyer and offer, then write the deck opening, profiles and website copy listed in your scope. You receive an editable handover.

Demand-Side Teardown

Get a review your team can implement.

I assess your current materials for one buyer segment. You receive a five-page memo, a marked-up homepage and a 90-minute call to discuss the priorities. Your team writes and implements the changes.

One week · Existing materials and a delivery call

You can start a sprint directly. Week one costs €2,500. Review the positioning before deciding whether to continue. A fully paid teardown covers that first week if you book the sprint within 30 days of its delivery.

Demand-Side Diligence

Assess a company’s customer and revenue claims.

I examine documented customer relationships and programme dependencies. You receive a report of 10 to 15 pages, questions for management and a one-hour discussion. This is commercial analysis, not an investment recommendation.

Scope and start date are agreed in writing before work begins.

Payment, ownership and confidentiality

Sprint: €2,500 before week one, then €7,000 or €12,000 before week two if you choose to continue in writing. Other fixed projects: half on acceptance and half on delivery. Invoices are payable within 14 days.

On full payment, the work made for you is yours to use and change. My existing research and methods remain mine. Client material stays confidential, and I can sign your NDA.

Work is remote by default, in English or Dutch as agreed. Travel is arranged and priced separately. External customer interviews, introductions and website development are outside the standard teardown and sprint scopes.

Experience and independence

The fictional teardown sample shows the method and format; it is not a client result. My published research and background are available to read before a call.

I use AI to assist research and drafting. I check the sources and remain responsible for the recommendations and wording delivered to you.

Published research uses public sources. I do not advise a company while reporting on it to its investors. A commercial engagement does not buy coverage in The Demand Side.
